Privacy
What we keep, and what we do not.
Short, because there is not much to describe. This page covers northlineoffice.com. Each Northline product has its own privacy page for that product. Last updated 20 September 2026.
Reading the site
Nothing is collected when you just look around.
This site sets no tracking cookies, runs no analytics, and carries no advertising scripts. There is no pixel, no session recorder and no visitor profile. If you read every page here and leave, we learn nothing about you beyond what any web server unavoidably sees.
What a web server unavoidably sees is worth stating plainly. The site is hosted on Cloudflare, so Cloudflare handles the request and keeps its own standard logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention on its usual schedule. We do not build anything on top of those logs.
Things loaded from elsewhere
Two of them, and here they are.
Pages load their typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser asks Google's servers for those font files and Google therefore receives your IP address and the page's address when it does. A handful of pages also load a JavaScript library from cdnjs.cloudflare.com, which works the same way. Neither of those is us tracking you, but it is a third party receiving a request because of a page we wrote, and you should know it happens.
Links out to Amazon, GitHub, YouTube, Substack and Stripe are ordinary links. Once you follow one, that company's own privacy terms apply and ours stop.
When you write to us
The one place we hold your details.
The contact form asks for your name, your email address, your company if you want to give it, and your message. When you send it, two things happen: the message is emailed to us so we can reply, and a copy is written to our own inquiry database so a message is not lost in a mailbox.
That is the whole use. We reply to you. We do not sell it, we do not rent it, we do not add you to a marketing list, and we do not pass it to anyone except the mail and database providers that carry it for us. It is kept while there is a reason to keep it, which for most enquiries means as long as the conversation could plausibly continue.
If you would rather not use the form, write to contact@northlineoffice.com and the email reaches the same place.
If you sign up for emails
Your email address, and only that.
The Law Office page has a box for new-tool emails. If you type your address there and press the button, it goes to Kit, the email service we use to send those notes, and nothing else goes with it. We use it to send a short note when a new tool comes out, about once a month.
Every email has an unsubscribe link, and one click takes you off the list. We do not sell the list, rent it or share it with anyone. If you want your address deleted, write to contact@northlineoffice.com and it is erased.
When you pay us
Stripe handles the card. We never see it.
Payments are handled by Stripe. Card details are entered on Stripe's own pages and never touch this site, so there is no card number here to leak. Stripe gives us the things a business needs for its books: that a payment happened, the amount, and the name and email on it. Stripe's own privacy terms cover what Stripe does with the rest.
Booking a session may hand you to a Google Calendar page to choose a time. That is Google's page and Google's terms.
The tools
The files you open mostly never leave your machine.
Most Northline tools do their work in your browser. The file you drop in is read by JavaScript in that tab and nothing is uploaded, which is why they work with the network off. Where that is true of a tool, its own page says so and you can verify it in the browser's network tab rather than taking our word for it. Where a tool does send something to a server, its own page says that too, and says what.
Your side of it
Ask, and it is done.
Write to contact@northlineoffice.com and ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. We will do it, and we will not make you prove a legal basis first. Deletion means deleted from the inquiry database and from the mailbox, not hidden.
This site is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect anything from anyone under 13. If that has happened, tell us and it goes.
If this page changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects information we already hold about you will be told to you directly rather than quietly edited here.
